Teaching Personnel is seeking caring, enthusiastic, and committed SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistants to support pupils in schools across Exeter. The Role
- Provide dedicated 1:1 and small-group support during outdoor learning sessions.
- Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
- Support the implementation of EHCPs, IEPs, and behaviour support plans within practical learning environments.
- Encourage independence, confidence, and active engagement through outdoor education.
- Support pupils' emotional wellbeing, communication skills, and behaviour regulation.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to ensure pupils receive consistent support.
About You
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND (desirable but not essential).
- Transferable experience from sectors such as care, youth work, outdoor education, coaching, or family SEND support.
- A patient, resilient, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- A genuine passion for helping children succeed and thrive.
