Teaching Personnel is recruiting caring and committed Learning Mentors to provide personalised support to pupils in schools across Exeter and the surrounding areas. Role details
- Pay Rate: £90–£100 per day
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
As a Learning Mentor, you will
- Provide dedicated 1:1 mentoring and support to pupils with additional needs
- Adapt learning strategies to meet individual needs and learning styles
- Support the implementation of EHCPs, IEPs, and behaviour support plans
- Promote independence, confidence, engagement, and emotional wellbeing
- Support communication, behaviour regulation, and personal development
- Work closely with teachers, the SENCo, and wider support staff to ensure consistent support
We’re Looking For
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND (desirable but not essential)
- Transferable experience (e.g., care, youth work, mentoring, family SEND experience)
- A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own car
- A genuine desire to support pupils and develop within education
