Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our warm and supportive school community in Dorney, Windsor.
About the Role:
- As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting individual pupils or small groups with a range of learning needs, helping to remove barriers to learning and enabling every child to reach their full potential.
- You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver tailored support and create an inclusive, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Promote a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment
- Monitor and record pupils’ progress, feeding back to staff and parents
- Help manage behaviour and emotional regulation using positive interventions
About You:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow direction and also use initiative when required
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) desirable
