Teaching Personnel are the exclusive partner of a Secondary Academy in Milton Keynes to recruit a Qualified English Teacher permanently from September 2025.

Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

Start date: September 2025

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: M1 - M6, UPS 1 -3 (proof required)

Are you a skilled, ambitious Teacher of English? This is an exciting opportunity for an English Teacher to make a difference to an evolving school. We are open to applications from Qualified English Teachers or experienced Further Education Teachers seeking their next permanent role.

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and informative English Literature and English Language lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Ability to teach A level may be introduced to timetable over time
  • Create and implement lesson plans in line with the AQA examination specification
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback on assessments
  • Marking and assessment responsibilities included
  • Support and guide students to achieve their academic goals in GCSE English

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or FE equivalent qualification
  • Degree in English or related field
  • Proven experience teaching English to at least Key Stage 3 with prior experience teaching at a Secondary School (minimum of 1 year)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students in this core subject
