We’re looking for a supportive, patient and motivated individual to join a welcoming school community in South Gloucestershire as an Unqualified Learning & Inclusion Support Mentor. This role is perfect for someone passionate about helping children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) thrive in the classroom. Formal qualifications are desirable but not essential - just the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and experience from areas such as care, youth support, psychology or education studies, coaching, or other people‑focused environments.

As a Learning & Inclusion Support Mentor, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with diverse learning needs
  • Help implement tailored learning plans and classroom adaptations
  • Support children with communication, emotional regulation and engagement
  • Create a positive, inclusive and structured learning environment
  • Assist the class teacher in daily routines and learning activities
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to help boost confidence and independence
  • Offer encouragement, reassurance and consistency to help learners progress

  • Experience in care, youth work, psychology or education studies, coaching or similar roles
