The Role
As the Year 6 Class Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils at a crucial stage of their primary education. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners
- Monitoring, assessing, and tracking pupil progress effectively
- Creating a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice
- Taking part in ongoing CPD and contributing to whole-school initiatives
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a motivated and committed teacher who can bring confidence and positivity to the classroom. You will ideally have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Year 6 or across Key Stage 2
- Strong behaviour management and classroom leadership skills
- A sound understanding of the KS2 National Curriculum and SATs requirements
- A flexible and adaptive teaching approach
- Confidence using technology to enhance learning
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team-working mindset
