About the Role:

As an Educational Healthcare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with a range of additional needs, including physical, emotional, and learning challenges. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create a nurturing, safe, and inclusive environment, enabling our students to thrive both academically and socially.

Key Information:

  • The chance to work with wonderful individual children and young adults.
  • Mixed primary and secondary provisions across PR1, PR2, PR3, PR4 and PR5.
  • A full time role, Monday to Friday (8.30-3.30pm) start date ASAP.
  • Term-time only role.
  • PAYE contract.
  • A competitive hourly rate of pay of £12.90+ per hour depending on experience and additional duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Personalised Care: Assist with daily living activities such as feeding, mobility, and personal care, ensuring the well-being of each student.
  • Support Learning: Assist in the classroom, working one-on-one or in small groups to facilitate learning and engagement in line with the students’ educational plans.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and other healthcare professionals to implement personalised educational and health care strategies.
  • Monitor Progress: Keep detailed records of students’ progress and care needs, ensuring clear communication with the wider team.
  • Promote Independence: Encourage students to develop independence and self-confidence, supporting their social and emotional development.

What we are looking for:

  • A caring, patient, and compassionate individual with a genuine interest in supporting students with SEN.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or educational support role is desirable, but not essential.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, able to adapt to the unique needs of each student.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care or special educational needs (preferred but not required).
