About the Role

Are you an Education Studies or Early Childhood Studies graduate looking to gain hands-on classroom experience before progressing into teaching or further educational roles? We are working closely with welcoming primary schools across Bristol who are keen to appoint motivated Education graduates as Teaching Assistants. This role provides invaluable, practical experience supporting pupils and teachers in a classroom environment and is an excellent stepping stone into a PGCE or long-term education career.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support pupils across the classroom, including 1:1 and small-group work
  • Assist class teachers with lesson delivery, activities and classroom routines
  • Help pupils develop confidence, independence and engagement with learning
  • Support children with SEN, SEMH or EAL where required
  • Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Prepare resources and contribute to creating an engaging learning environment
  • Gain first-hand experience of lesson structure, assessment and classroom management
