Teaching Personnel is working alongside a vibrant specialist SEN school in Ebbw Vale, supporting pupils aged 3-19. This is a setting full of variety, challenge, and reward - where flexibility, compassion, and teamwork are at the heart of everything they do.

You won't be stuck in one classroom or supporting just one age group. Instead, you'll move across the school, adapting your approach to meet a wide range of needs. What Your Day Could Look Like

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support, tailored to individual needs
  • Confidently moving between classes, age groups, and learning styles
  • Supporting behaviour regulation using positive and calm strategies
  • Assisting with personal needs, mobility, and sensory needs where required
  • Encouraging confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff to create a safe, inclusive environment

Who We're Looking For

  • Confidence and previous experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs
  • May have experience in support and care work
  • Calm, patient, and resilient individuals who can adapt to change
  • Someone who thrives in an ever-changing SEN environment
  • Strong communication skills and a clear commitment to safeguarding

Requirements (or willingness to obtain)

To work in this role, you must be 18+ and either already have or be happy to apply for:

  • Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration
  • Enhanced Child & Adult DBS on the Update Service
  • Level 2 Safeguarding training
  • Two professional references covering a 24-month period
