Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs? We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist complex needs school supporting pupils aged 4-16 with a range of additional learning needs and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). This is a rewarding full-time opportunity for someone who is patient, proactive, and committed to supporting children to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and structured environment. A driving licence is ESSENTIAL for the role.
The Role
- Support pupils with complex learning needs, autism, communication difficulties, and additional behavioural or sensory needs
- Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver personalised learning and care
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive engagement
- Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff
- Provide both classroom and 1:1 support where required
Requirements
- A valid UK driving licence
- An Enhanced Child-Only DBS registered on the Update Service
- Transferable experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals
- A positive, resilient, and caring attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in education, care, support work, youth work, coaching, residential care, or similar backgrounds is highly desirable.
