Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate, resilient, and adaptable SEMH Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Ealing area from September through to the end of the Autumn term. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced SEMH specialists and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop their experience within specialist and inclusive education settings. You will play a key role in supporting secondary‑aged pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them re‑engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally. As an SEMH Teacher, you will deliver engaging and structured lessons while creating a calm, supportive, and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and understood.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver differentiated and engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Support students with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social development
  • Build positive relationships that encourage trust, confidence, and progress
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning and behavioural needs
  • Maintain high expectations and consistent classroom routines
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs, pastoral teams, and parents
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback where required
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently working towards qualification
  • Experience supporting students with SEMH needs, ideally within a secondary setting
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to teaching
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Confidence adapting to different school environments
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
