Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting Secondary School EAL/ESL Teachers to support our partner schools in Twickenham and the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work across diverse school environments, ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking to develop their classroom practice while supporting pupils from a range of linguistic backgrounds.
The Role:
Deliver engaging and structured EAL/ESL lessons tailored to the needs of learners at Key Stages 3 and 4
Support students in improving their English language skills across reading, writing, speaking, and listening
Manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Adapt quickly to different school settings and connect effectively with pupils from diverse cultural backgrounds
Provide continuity of learning during the absence of the regular teacher
Opportunities for regular work, including block bookings and short/long-term placements
About You:
Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent UK teaching qualification
Confident teaching EAL/ESL across Key Stages 3 and 4
Experience supporting English language learners and understanding of differentiation strategies
Flexible, reliable, and adaptable to different school environments
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
A genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their linguistic and academic progress
Child workforce Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
