Cover Teacher – Durham Secondary Schools

Flexible work available, £140 to £170 per day, ASAP start. Teaching Personnel is recruiting Cover Teachers for secondary schools across Durham. If you're a qualified teacher looking for flexible work without the commitment of a permanent contract, this could be the perfect opportunity.

You’ll deliver pre-prepared lessons across different schools when teachers are absent, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students stay engaged with their learning. What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons across various subjects at KS3 to KS5
  • Managing classroom behaviour in different school settings
  • Ensuring students complete the work set by their regular teacher
  • Adapting quickly to different schools and their systems

You need:

  • QTS
  • Experience teaching in UK secondary schools
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour skills
  • Flexibility and confidence working in different environments
  • Good communication skills
  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Two professional references covering the last two years
