The Role
You will deliver engaging and practical Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to think creatively, develop technical skills, and build confidence through hands-on learning.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality DT lessons that inspire and challenge students
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports progress and engagement
- Encouraging creativity, resilience, and independent thinking
- Supporting students in developing practical and problem-solving skills
- Maintaining strong classroom management and high behavioural expectations
- Contributing positively to the wider school community
We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Design & Technology within a secondary school setting
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
- Bring enthusiasm, creativity, and energy into the classroom
