Duration: Day-to-Day and Short-Term Block Bookings Available

Pay: £170–£250 per day depending on experience and responsibilities

We are currently recruiting a qualified Science Teacher to support a secondary school across Dudley with day-to-day supply cover and short-term block bookings. Opportunities are available immediately for enthusiastic and adaptable teachers who can confidently deliver Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role is ideal for teachers looking for flexibility, work-life balance or varied experience across different school settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons in line with school policies
  • Teach general Science across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities for Biology, Chemistry and Physics specialists
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Follow lesson plans provided by the school and ensure continuity of learning
  • Mark work where required during short-term placements
  • Build positive relationships with students and staff

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Science within UK secondary schools
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Flexible, reliable and professional approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
