Part-time DT Teacher Are you a qualified DT teacher looking for a part-time role (0.5 FTE contract) delivering lessons and supporting students in a range of subjects? We’re looking for DT Teachers to work at a secondary school in the Westbury Area. This school is fully comprehensive and has a good reputation, with strong commitment to the students’ wellbeing and positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and practical DT lessons tailored to Key Stage 3 and 4 students. Encourage a safe, structured, and stimulating learning environment. Build strong, positive relationships with students, acting as a mentor and guide to support their personal and academic growth. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using strategies to engage and motivate students with challenging behaviour. Collaborate with colleagues to monitor progress and implement methods that help students achieve their potential. What are we looking for? Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism or strong background in Design and Technology. Experience in teaching at secondary level. Strong behavioural management skills. Ability to be flexible and adapt to a range of lessons in different school settings. A valid Enhanced child only DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
