A permanent, full-time position in Surrey with a salary range of £34,398 - £48,913 per year (M1 - UPS1 Fringe) and a £5,000 welcome bonus for qualified teachers.

Hours: 40 hours per week. Start: 8:15am. Finish: Mon/Wed/Thu 4:45pm | Tue 5:00pm | Fri 4:00pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and develop a creative, inclusive curriculum.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Plan and deliver short, medium, and long-term learning plans.
  • Set, monitor, and review personalised learning targets.
  • Track progress and report to parents and key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to EHCPs, PEPs, and LAC reviews.
  • Create engaging, structured lessons that motivate and challenge.
  • Manage behaviour positively and in line with school policies.
  • Stay informed on current best practice in autism education.
  • Be flexible and ready to support across the school where needed.
  • There may also be a requirement to work from a nearby satellite site when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working in SEND settings, particularly with ASC.
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Proven ability to deliver a differentiated curriculum.
  • Knowledge of ASC and SEMH needs, including complex presentations.
  • Additional SEND qualifications.
  • Experience developing curriculum for learners with SEND.
  • Understanding of co-occurring conditions associated with autism.
