Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join a secondary school in Dorchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual looking to work within a busy school environment and become part of a supportive catering team.
The successful candidate will help with the day-to-day running of the school kitchen, supporting the preparation and serving of meals to students and staff while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and food hygiene.
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting with food preparation and serving meals
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy lunch periods
- Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment and work areas
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Helping with stock rotation and putting deliveries away
- Following food hygiene, health and safety procedures
- Providing a friendly and professional service to students and staff
- Supporting the wider catering team with general kitchen duties
The school is looking for someone who is:
