A dynamic and growing land-based secondary school in Dorchester is seeking a dedicated Animal Care Teacher to join their team on a full-time maternity cover contract from January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to support learners who are passionate about animal care and land-based studies.

The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging Animal Care lessons across Key Stages 3 & 4, helping students develop confidence, practical skills, and strong theoretical understanding in areas such as animal welfare, husbandry, and handling.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification (QTS/PTS) or be willing to work towards one
  • Have a strong background in animal care, animal management, or a related discipline
  • Be confident delivering both practical and classroom-based lessons
