Role Responsibilities As a Primary Teaching Assistant, your key duties may include:
- Supporting classroom teachers with day-to-day learning
- Working with individuals or small groups to support learning and progress
- Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEN support
- Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Supporting with preparation and supervision of activities
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting independence
- Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Qualifications & Experience We welcome applications from experienced and newly qualified TAs. The following are desirable/essential:
- Essential
- Previous experience supporting primary-aged children
- DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
- TA qualification (e.g. CACHE, Level 2/3 TA, or equivalent)
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND
