Contract: Full-time, temporary (until the end of the 2025/26 academic year)

Pay: Paid to scale via Teaching Personnel (MPS/UPS + SEN allowance where applicable)

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive school in Doncaster to recruit a Primary SEN Teacher for a long-term position starting 23rd February, continuing through to the end of the 2025/26 academic year. This role involves teaching pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, communication needs, and moderate learning difficulties, within a primary setting. You will be responsible for delivering engaging, differentiated lessons and creating a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment. You will work closely with experienced support staff, the SENCO, and external professionals to ensure pupils receive high-quality, personalised support.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching tailored to pupils' individual needs
  • Plan and adapt lessons to support engagement and progress
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
  • Contribute to EHCP targets, reviews, and progress monitoring
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider staff

Qualifications

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience working with children with SEN (primary or specialist settings)
  • Demonstrates strong behaviour management and inclusive practice
  • Is patient, resilient, and passionate about SEN education
  • Can commit to a long-term role through the academic year
