The Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils and teachers within the classroom. You may work across different year groups and settings, supporting individuals, small groups or whole classes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
  • Working with individuals and small groups to support learning and development
  • Delivering targeted interventions and learning activities
  • Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required
  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Monitoring and reporting on pupil progress
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, teachers and other professionals
  • Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development
  • Assisting with classroom preparation and learning resources
  • Following school policies, safeguarding procedures and individual support plans

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Previous experience working within a school or educational setting
  • Experience supporting children and young people with a range of abilities and needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider school team
  • A patient, caring and proactive approach
  • The confidence to support individuals and small groups
  • A genuine passion for helping pupils achieve their potential

Experience supporting pupils with SEND, behavioural needs or additional learning needs would be highly desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
