We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming two-form entry primary school in Toxteth (L8). The school is committed to fostering a love of learning from an early age and provides a stimulating, nurturing environment where curiosity, creativity, and confidence can thrive. Within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), children are encouraged to explore, discover, and develop through a wide range of engaging learning opportunities. The Role

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils throughout their early learning journey. Working closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team, you will help create a positive and engaging classroom environment that supports children's academic, social, and emotional development.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting teaching and learning activities across the EYFS curriculum
  • Assisting with phonics, literacy, and numeracy sessions
  • Encouraging learning through play and structured activities
  • Supporting individual pupils and small groups to meet their learning goals
  • Helping to maintain a safe, caring, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Contributing to the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress
