Teaching Personnel is seeking caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Nursery Assistants to support Early Years settings across Plymouth. Whether you are an experienced practitioner or looking to begin your career in childcare, we want to hear from you!
You will be joining warm, welcoming nursery environments where you’ll help create safe, stimulating spaces that support children’s early development. Your role will include:
- Assisting with learning activities
- Supporting key workers
- Encouraging play-based development
- Ensuring the wellbeing of all children in your care
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting children aged 0–4 in daily routines and developmental activities
- Assisting with creative, play-based learning sessions
- Building positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
- Helping maintain a safe, engaging learning environment
- Supporting children’s physical, emotional, and social development
- Following safeguarding and EYFS framework guidelines
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for Early Years education
- Experience working with children (professional or voluntary) is highly desirable
- Reliable, flexible, and willing to work across different settings
- Level 2/3 Early Years qualification is a bonus—but not essential
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel)
