A specialist educational provision in Devizes is seeking an inspiring and adaptable PE Teacher to join its permanent staff team from September. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated practitioner who believes sport, movement and physical wellbeing can play a transformative role in the lives of young people with additional needs. This setting supports pupils aged 11-16 with Education, Health and Care Plans and provides a highly personalised approach to learning. Learners may present with Autism, SEMH needs, attachment difficulties and communication barriers, therefore the successful candidate must be confident in adapting lessons creatively to encourage participation, engagement and achievement.
The school is looking for a teacher who can bring energy, innovation and encouragement into every lesson while helping pupils develop confidence, resilience and self-esteem through physical education. You will become part of a nurturing and collaborative environment where staff work together to ensure every young person feels valued, safe and supported. The successful applicant will deliver a broad and differentiated PE curriculum designed to meet the needs of learners within specialist education. You will encourage pupils to experience success regardless of ability and help them develop healthy routines, emotional regulation and teamwork skills.
