Teaching Personnel Liverpool are working closely with a mainstream secondary school in Liverpool who are seeking a committed and detail‑focused Data Officer to join their administrative team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong IT skills, good numerical ability, and a proactive approach to school data management. This position will begin on a temporary basis through Teaching Personnel, with the school intending to offer a permanent contract for the right candidate.

The Data Officer will support the school by maintaining accurate student information, managing assessment data, and ensuring that all records and reporting systems are up to date. You will work closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, and the wider administrative team to ensure that data is processed efficiently and securely.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update student records and school data systems (e.g., attendance, behaviour, assessments).
  • Support staff with data entry, reporting, and analysis.
  • Prepare and manage data for internal and external reporting deadlines.
  • Use spreadsheets and school MIS systems to monitor and track key metrics.
  • Ensure data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with school policies and GDPR.
  • Produce clear, well‑formatted reports as required by leadership.
  • Assist the admin and exams teams with data‑related tasks during busy periods.
Qualifications
  • Strong IT skills, including confident use of Excel and data management systems.
  • Basic Maths and numeracy skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
  • Previous experience in a school admin or data‑related role is desirable but not essential.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Willingness to complete a full DBS check (or be willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel).
