Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established mainstream secondary school in Darwen to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Geography from January 2027. This is a full-time position, initially running until the end of the academic year, and would suit both experienced teachers and ECTs with a passion for delivering engaging Geography lessons and inspiring students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The Role:
- Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4.
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
- Assess, monitor and track student progress in line with school policies.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to departmental planning and wider school life where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has experience teaching Geography in a UK secondary school setting.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
- Is passionate about Geography and committed to improving outcomes for all learners.
- Possesses strong communication and organisational skills.
- Has a valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
