Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher for a long-term supply position at a secondary school in Darlington, with an immediate start available. Applications are welcome from teachers of French, Spanish, or German, and candidates who can offer more than one language will be looked upon very favourably.
MFL is a subject area where strong, qualified teachers are consistently in demand across the North East, and this is a genuine opportunity to secure a long-term placement in a well-established department with a clear route into permanent employment for the right candidate.
What you'll be doing:
- Planning and delivering MFL lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Teaching across your subject specialism — French, Spanish, or German
- Supporting students to develop confidence in reading, writing, speaking, and listening
- Assessing progress and adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners
- Contributing to departmental planning and whole-school events
- Upholding the school's safeguarding responsibilities
To be considered:
- QTS or equivalent
- A degree in a Modern Foreign Language or a related discipline
- Experience teaching MFL at secondary level
- Ability to teach more than one language is a significant advantage
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
