We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time Dance Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive within a coeducational secondary school located in Havant, Hampshire. About the School: The school serves students aged 11 to 16 and is conveniently located near a railway station, making it easily accessible just a few minutes’ walk from the school. Recognised as a "Good" school by Ofsted, the school pride themselves on their welcoming atmosphere, strong sense of community, and commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment for both students and staff. About the Dance Department: The Dance Department is an integral part of the school's creative arts curriculum, which also includes Art, Drama, Music, and Textiles. The department is dedicated to fostering a love of dance in students of all abilities, encouraging creativity, and promoting physical fitness. Pupils are offered a range of dance styles and techniques, and students regularly participate in performances and competitions. The appointed educator would be required to start ASAP teaching across KS3 and KS4 on a two weekly timetable as follows: Week A – Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Week B – Tuesday and Thursday Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons to students aged 11-16. Prepare students for performances and competitions. Collaborate with other members of the creative arts team to integrate dance into school-wide events and projects. Provide constructive feedback and support to help students develop their skills and confidence. Qualifications and Experience: Relevant teaching qualifications and experience in dance education. Strong knowledge of various dance styles and techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for teaching and inspiring young people.
