We here at Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and experienced ALN Teaching Assistant to work closely with students with sensory needs in one of our client educational setting provisions based in the heart of Cwmbran. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with special educational needs.

  • Adapt teaching materials and learning environments to meet the specific needs of each student, taking into consideration their sensory sensitivities.
  • Help develop and implement individualized plans for students, in collaboration with the classroom teacher and other relevant professionals.
  • Attend relevant training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in supporting students with sensory needs.

Previous experience working with individuals with sensory needs or special educational needs is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge and understanding of sensory processing disorder, autism spectrum disorder, or other sensory-related conditions.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a changing environment.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
