Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teacher to work full-time within a specialist school in Cwmbran, starting as soon as possible, with an option to begin in the new academic year. This setting supports pupils aged 5–19 with a range of additional learning needs, including moderate to severe learning difficulties, autism, and associated behavioural needs. The role is ideal for teachers who are passionate about supporting pupils with complex needs and are committed to helping them develop essential life skills, independence, and confidence in a structured and nurturing environment.
You will play a key role in delivering engaging, accessible learning experiences while supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and communication development. We are looking for individuals who can build strong relationships, adapt their teaching approach, and provide consistency to support positive outcomes for every learner.

- Salary: From £172.98 per day (dependent on experience)

Responsibilities include:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with additional learning needs
- Support pupils’ communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
- Implement positive behaviour strategies and structured routines
- Monitor and assess pupil progress across academic and developmental targets
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- DBS Child Workforce Check registered on the Update Service (we can assist with this)
- Right to work in the UK
- A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach
- Experience or interest in ALN, SEN, or specialist education is desirable
