We are partnering with a number of primary schools across the NP44 area that are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to support pupils across Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2 settings from October 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children and want to gain valuable classroom experience within welcoming and supportive school environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities.
- Working with small groups and individual pupils to support learning outcomes.
- Encouraging pupil participation, confidence and independence.
- Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support.
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children, young people or within an educational setting is desirable.
- A positive, patient and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a school team.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
