Recruiting via Teaching Personnel

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a number of secondary and specialist SEN schools across Wimbledon and the surrounding areas to recruit experienced SEN Teaching Assistants for day-to-day, short-term, and long-term roles. This role is strictly for candidates with proven SEN experience. Please do not apply if you do not meet the essential criteria outlined below.

About the Role

  • Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
  • Working 1:1 and in small groups to support learning and emotional regulation
  • Supporting students across secondary and specialist SEN settings
  • Implementing EHCP strategies and supporting individual learning plans
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour support
  • Opportunities available across Wimbledon, Merton, Kingston, Richmond, Twickenham, Croydon, Carshalton, Sutton, and surrounding areas
  • Day-to-day, short-term, and long-term opportunities available
  • Full-time and part-time roles

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience working with SEN children - ESSENTIAL
  • Experience within a school or specialist SEN setting
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - ESSENTIAL
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach
  • Ability to follow EHCPs and support individual needs effectively
