About the Role

We are looking for confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support the smooth day‑to‑day running of schools by supervising classes in the absence of teaching staff. The successful candidate will oversee groups of students, deliver pre‑set work, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure learning activities are completed effectively in a positive and professional environment. This role requires excellent communication and organisational skills, the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff, and the confidence to manage classrooms across a range of subjects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise groups and ensure work or activities are carried out as planned
  • Provide instruction based on pre-prepared materials or guidance
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and productive environment
  • Manage behaviour and address any issues appropriately
  • Report outcomes, progress, or concerns to the relevant team members
  • Support general operational or administrative tasks where required

  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Has experience working with young people or groups (desirable but not essential)
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism
