Teaching Personnel are working with schools in the NP8 area who are seeking hardworking, adaptable, and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils on a 1:1 basis, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex needs, including Pica. This is a rewarding role for individuals who are patient, resilient, and committed to supporting children with additional needs.

About the Role

  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with ASD and complex needs
  • Support sensory, communication, and behavioural development
  • Follow individual learning and behaviour plans
  • Promote safe behaviours and supervise pupils closely where required
  • Support emotional regulation and engagement in learning
  • Assist with routines, transitions, and structured activities
  • Work closely with teachers and SEN staff
  • Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
