Teaching Personnel is recruiting caring and committed SEND Outdoor Learning Support Assistants to work closely with pupils in schools across Crediton. Whether you have previous SEND experience or are looking to begin a rewarding career in education, we would love to hear from you.
Role
- Pay Rate: £105–£115 per day
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract: Full‑time, Term Time Only
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm
Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated 1:1 or small group support to pupils in outdoor learning sessions
- Adapt activities to meet individual learning needs and abilities
- Support the implementation of EHCPs, IEPs, and behaviour support plans in practical settings
- Promote independence, confidence, and engagement through outdoor learning
- Support emotional wellbeing, communication, and behaviour regulation
- Work closely with teachers, the SENCo, and wider support staff to ensure consistent support
Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND (desirable but not essential)
- Transferable experience (e.g. care, youth work, outdoor education, family SEND experience)
- A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- A genuine desire to support pupils and develop within education
