Teaching Personnel are seeking a Teacher of Food Technology to join a well-regarded secondary school in the Waterlooville area, catering to students aged 11 to 16. The school prides itself on providing a well-rounded education that balances academic rigor with personal development.

The school is seeking a Teacher of Food Technology to join the team from September 2026. This is a maternity cover position for one academic year, with the potential to become a permanent role depending on the needs of the school. This role is offered on a full-time basis, although 0.8 FTE (4 days per week) may be considered for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach Food Technology across KS3 and KS4
  • Deliver engaging, practical lessons in well-equipped specialist food rooms
  • Take on full teaching responsibilities, including planning and marking
  • Teach classes typically ranging from 15–30 students, depending on year group and subject choices

You will be supported by an experienced Head of Department (overseeing Science and Technology) and a dedicated technician, ensuring a collaborative and well-resourced teaching environment. There may also be opportunities for transition days prior to September to support a smooth start.
