Overview

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a motivated and flexible Cover Supervisor to join a well-respected secondary school in Selsey, Chichester. This full-time opportunity is ideal for individuals who are keen to gain valuable classroom experience or are considering a future career in teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise classes of students aged 11–16 during teacher absences, ensuring learning continues smoothly and effectively.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and maintain a positive and focused learning environment.
  • Provide additional support to students with special educational needs (SEN) when required.

Qualifications and attributes

  • Experience working with secondary-aged pupils, including exposure to SEN, is preferred.
  • Confident and adaptable in a classroom setting with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for supporting their educational development.

Details and benefits
