Why This Role Matters

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning when teachers are absent. You’ll supervise classes, deliver pre-prepared lessons, and ensure pupils remain engaged and on task. Working with pupils aged 4–11 with a range of needs—including ADHD, ASD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and behavioural challenges—you’ll help create a safe, structured, and positive learning atmosphere.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in SEN or PRU settings
  • Strong understanding of SEMH and positive behaviour strategies
  • English & Maths GCSE A*-C or equivalent
  • Ability to manage classrooms and deliver pre-set work effectively
  • Resilient, patient, and passionate about inclusive education
  • Skilled in de‑escalating challenging situations calmly and safely
