Cover Supervisor – Wigan Schools

We are recruiting Cover Supervisors to work across a range of primary and secondary schools in Wigan , offering both flexible and full-time opportunities.

This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced school staff looking for varied work within education. Full training is provided , so prior classroom experience is not essential.

The Role:

  • Supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher

  • Delivering pre-set lesson plans and ensuring students stay on task

  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Supporting pupils with their learning and engagement

  • Reporting back to teaching staff at the end of the day

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Confident and professional in a classroom environment

  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills

  • Reliable, adaptable, and organised

  • Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
