Are you an experienced Teacher looking for a role where you can make a genuine difference?

We are working with a specialist SEMH provision in Stoke-on-Trent who are seeking an ambitious and passionate Teacher to join their team from September.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who wants more than just delivering lessons, someone who wants to have a lasting impact on young people, contribute to the development of a growing provision, and potentially take on additional leadership responsibilities.

The Role

You will be working with secondary‑aged students within a specialist SEMH setting, supporting pupils who require a personalised, nurturing and consistent approach to education.

  • Deliver engaging lessons that are adapted to meet individual learning needs
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils who may have experienced barriers to education
  • Support students academically, socially and emotionally
  • Create a safe and structured learning environment where pupils can thrive
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and the wider pastoral team

Why This Opportunity?

This role offers the chance to join a developing provision where your experience, ideas and passion can genuinely influence outcomes.

There is potential for the successful candidate to take on additional responsibilities, including:

  • Pastoral leadership
  • Curriculum development and subject leadership
  • Supporting improvements across the provision
  • Progressing into a permanent role for the right person

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds QTS or has significant relevant teaching experience
  • Has experience working with SEMH/SEN pupils, or is confident adapting learning to support students with additional needs
  • Can build excellent relationships while maintaining high expectations
  • Is passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable young people
  • Has a subject specialism they can bring to the wider curriculum
  • Is ambitious, reflective and committed to their own professional development

Early Career Teachers with the right experience, mindset and passion for SEMH education are also encouraged to apply.

What We Offer

  • A supportive specialist environment
  • Small class sizes allowing you to focus on individual pupil progress
  • The opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day
  • Potential leadership responsibilities and career progression
  • A pathway to a permanent position for the right candidate
  • Competitive pay reflective of experience

If you are an experienced Teacher looking for a role where you can inspire, influence and help shape the future of an SEMH provision , we would love to hear from you.
