Year 1 Primary Teacher – Fixed Term Summer Cover (St Ives)

Start Date: 21st April

End Date: 22nd July

Contract: Fixed-term (Summer Term)

Hours: Full-time

Pay: M1–M6 (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming primary school in St Ives to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to cover a vacancy for the Summer Term. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a full-time class role within a supportive school environment and make a real difference during a key stage of pupils’ development.

About the Role:

  • Full-time teaching responsibility within a Year 1 class
  • Planning, teaching, marking and assessment in line with the national curriculum
  • Creating a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with the KS1 team and wider school staff
  • Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development

What We’re Looking For:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in KS1 / Year 1 (ECTs welcome)
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A positive, proactive approach to teaching and learning
