Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs in primary schools across Liskeard, Bodmin, Wadebridge, and surrounding areas. About the Role:

  • As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with one child, supporting them throughout the school day to ensure they can access learning and feel safe, supported, and engaged.
  • Your responsibilities may include:
    • Providing 1:1 support tailored to the pupil’s individual needs
    • Supporting children with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs)
    • Assisting with classroom activities and adapting learning materials
    • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
    • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionals
    • Building a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil

  • Experience working with children or young people (school, care, youth work, or similar)

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Resilience and the ability to adapt to individual needs
