Teaching Personnel are delighted to be working with welcoming primary schools across the Truro and Redruth areas who are seeking a confident and motivated Year 6 Teacher to support pupils during this important stage of their primary journey.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys making a real difference in the classroom, supporting pupils academically and emotionally as they prepare for the transition to secondary school.

As a Year 6 Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum
  • Support pupils’ progress in core subjects including English, Maths and Science
  • Prepare pupils for SATs, building confidence as well as academic skills
  • Use assessment effectively to inform planning and track progress
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and wider school staff

Roles are available on a day-to-day supply, short-term, or long-term basis, depending on your preference and availability.

This role would suit teachers who are:

  • Qualified with QTS (ECTs and experienced teachers welcome)
  • Confident teaching Year 6 / Upper KS2
  • Able to adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and EAL
  • Positive, organised, and committed to pupil progress and wellbeing
