Core Subject Teachers – Secondary Schools | Wimbledon & Surrounding Areas
Recruiting via Teaching Personnel. Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a number of secondary schools across Wimbledon and the surrounding areas to recruit qualified Core Subject Teachers for day-to-day, short-term, and long-term opportunities. These roles are strictly for fully qualified teachers with relevant UK secondary school experience in English, Maths, or Science. Please do not apply if you do not meet the essential criteria below.
About the Role
- Teaching English, Maths, or Science across KS3–KS4
- KS5 opportunities available depending on experience and subject specialism
- Planning and delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons
- Assessing student progress and providing meaningful feedback
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Roles available across Wimbledon, Merton, Kingston, Sutton, and surrounding areas

Essential Requirements
- ✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ESSENTIAL
- ✔️ Degree in English, Maths, Science, or a closely related subject
- ✔️ Proven experience teaching a core subject in UK secondary schools
- ✔️ Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom delivery
- ✔️ Effective behaviour management skills
- ✔️ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
