We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism and Moderate Learning Difficulties.

This role involves working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support, helping pupils engage with learning and develop socially and emotionally.

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
  • Support children with SEND needs, helping to manage behaviour positively
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
  • Support pupils during transitions and unstructured times

Previous experience working with children or young people (school or similar setting) is required.

Experience supporting SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour is highly desirable.

Ability to adapt to different situations and school environments is essential.

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) is necessary.

Experience working as a Teaching Assistant (including supply work) is preferred.

Safeguarding or Team Teach training is beneficial.

A background in care, youth work, or support roles is advantageous.

Ongoing training and CPD opportunities will be provided.
