Teaching Personnel are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Primary Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to join our network of partner schools across Cheshire for September 2026. As a senior recruitment consultant working closely with primary schools across the region, I am supporting a high volume of demand for flexible supply staff, and this is an excellent opportunity for ECTs looking to gain valuable classroom experience at the start of their teaching career.
We are working with a wide range of primary schools across Chester, Warrington, Crewe, Ellesmere Port and surrounding areas, offering a variety of day-to-day, short-term and long-term supply roles. These positions provide a strong foundation for ECTs to develop their teaching practice while maintaining flexibility and control over their working pattern.
As a Primary Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively
- Supporting pupils’ academic progress and wellbeing
- Adapting to different school settings and expectations
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be completing ECT induction
- A strong understanding of the primary curriculum
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- A flexible and proactive approach to teaching
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply
