We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team from September. The successful candidate will provide 1:2 support for two boys in Year 1, both with Autism and additional needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide tailored 1:2 support for two pupils in Year 1
- Support one pupil with Speech & Language (S&L) needs and Autism
- Support a second pupil with Autism (EHCP Level EH3), no behavioural concerns
- Deliver structured support in line with EHCP targets and individual learning plans
- Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
- Help develop communication, social interaction, and learning skills
- Adapt resources and activities to meet individual needs
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to staff
Qualifications
- Experience working with children with Autism and SEN
- Understanding of Speech & Language needs
- Patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
- Ability to build strong relationships with children and staff
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., TA qualification, SEN training) desirable
