We are delighted to be recruiting an enthusiastic and inspiring History Teacher to join a thriving and supportive Humanities department at a secondary school in Chorley. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and creative lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, contributing to a rich and ambitious curriculum while supporting students to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Create a stimulating, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
- Use effective assessment strategies to track progress and support development
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
- Inspire curiosity, analytical thinking, and a love of learning
- Participate in enrichment activities, school events, and wider initiatives
About You
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge with a genuine passion for History

- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong commitment to safeguarding and student welfare
- DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
