We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school in the Chorley area. This full-time temporary opportunity offers the chance to make a real difference to students' academic progress, confidence, and wellbeing within a welcoming and inclusive school community.
The Role
You will:
- Support students across a range of subjects and year groups
- Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions, including SEN support
- Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
- Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom preparation
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Promote student wellbeing and achievement throughout the school day
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with young people in education, coaching, mentoring, youth work, or a similar setting
- A genuine passion for helping students succeed
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A patient, adaptable, and positive approach
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
- Teaching Assistant qualifications are welcomed but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
